Alcohol makes you do weird things
Some bad, some good, some funny
This one guy I know has many stories to tell, sometimes he's drunk and sometimes he's not.
So in the last month, I saw one of my roommates naked. His girlfriend was over and it was pretty obvious that they were having sex. They left their clothes in the living room. I came home and hoped that would be all I would see, but no such luck. The next thing I know, he walks out of his room naked. And that's pretty much that.
The other night, we went out drinking. Both roommates were with me. One disappeared in the middle of the night. I came home and he was sleeping in my bed. I wanted to wake him up but I was nice enough to leave him along and kind of slept on the couch for a couple of hours. Mostly, I was just afraid he was naked and didn't want to go 2 for 2. I reclaimed my room at about 3 am when he went to the bathroom. And I locked the door.
Why do these things happen to me? Haha...
I feel like its my turn next...lol

Random Stuff
The Giants are at 3-0.
The Jets still suck with Brett Favre
Somewhere along the line,
The Steelers went 2-1.
The Yankees are hopefully going for 4th
And all we have left is the Mets
Buffalo sucks,
I don't want to hear about them
I don't run around yelling in your face how great the Yankees are,
so shut your trap about your city/team.
My IM Volleyball team has gone 0-3...going for 5
IM Football better be better.
Thanks,
I'll just have my Jack & Coke now
The End.

Delicious Red Bulls
Tropical Storm Hanna made her way up to the East Coast today, but despite her best efforts, we still made it down to Philly for the Red Bull Soap Box Derby! The turnout was amazing as the place was packed! The Manayunk Wall (where the race takes place in Philly) is insane, it's extremely steep and completely crazy. Apparently, they have cycling races on this awesome hill as well, which I think I ready somewhere has a slope grade of 18.5 % at one point. I don't think I minded the walk up but coming down with the slippery mud was a bit taxing...complete with the crazy drunk people everywhere around me with whom I could not join since driving but alcohol = no good (plus crazy storm = suicide ride home).
Some of the soapbox derbies were quite spectacular, and they put on a little skit before then roll down the hill which was some were amusing and hilarious. Some derbies didn't quite make it all the way down the hill and some apparently just leave passengers plopped down on the hill when they unexpectedly just fall out. Haha. The feeling of going about 40mph down a hill is probably undescribeable, as you just zip down the hill and they only thing between you and the thousands of spectators is a barrier of straw/hay! Lol. Then again, they use this straw as an obstacle and several derbies didn't quite clear them and (imagine dramatic flipout or crash or spinout into the hay) BooM!
Well that's all the excitement for the week. I picked up a Philly Cheesesteak from Philly as well, delicious! =) At some point today I also had a craving for a Maple Glazed Donut. (I had one for the first time a couple of weeks again and lets just say the heart attack waiting to happen is delicious).
Philly is a true party town! I await the next time I go back =).
Despite for the 3 hours of standing in the rain, it was well worth it. Hanna was beaten today! but she'll probably win tomorrow when I'm sick.
Here's links to the derby.

You can probably google the derby results/photos, or look up the insane Manayunk Wall for yourself. Google is your friend
Peace

New Day
And so ends the summer and the next part of my adventure begins. My time to being a real person is approaching rapidly. As is yours!
Good Luck to both of us.
Fun fact, I found out that they pick names for hurricanes from a master list of names (one for a letter of the alphabet, most letters anyway). The list repeats every 6 years but some names are retired if they're associated with mass casualties/destruction. This is replaced with a new name with the same first letter. They go down the list alphabetically with each hurricane that occurs in a given year, starting with A.
I was only curious when I thought Gustav was an odd name for a hurricane. Sadly, oz or ozzy or osbert is not on any of the 6 master lists so you can rest assure that for the next 6 years, hurricane oz will not come knocking on your door. =)
